Tanda integration instructions for ComplianceTrackr


Upcoming Release ComplianceTrackr v.5.2.9

Follow the steps below to seamlessly connect your TANDA account with ComplianceTrackr. This integration keeps your Tanda teams and user data synced and up to date.


Please confirm your current subscription allows Tanda Integration.

Tanda Support is currently not available for ComplianceTrackr sites that are using Training Manager, Training User, this will be supported in the coming months.


🔐 Admin Access Required

Only users with the Site Admin role in ComplianceTrackr can set up the TANDA integration.

If you do not have this role, please contact your internal administrator or the Safety Mates Support Team. support@sm8a.com.au

You will also need to be running at least ComplianceTrackr Advanced, this option is not available on Core.


🥇 Step 1: Prepare Your ComplianceTrackr Setup

Before beginning, ensure your ComplianceTrackr environment is ready.

You must have:

  • 🛰️ All Satellite Sites created
  • 👥 All required User Groups created

These must be set up first — your TANDA Teams will be mapped to these in later steps.


🥈 Step 2: Create Your TANDA Access Token

  1. Log in to your TANDA Admin account.

    Create a new Access Token with the following scopes:

    • 🔹 user      
    • 🔹 organisation      
    • 🔹 platform      
    • 🔹 department      
  2. ⚠️ Do not delete or remove this token — the integration depends on it.

📝 Step 3: Complete the TANDA Integration section

  1. Navigate to Settings in ComplianceTrackr.

    Open the Tanda Integration section.

    Enter:

    • 🆔 Organisation ID
    • 🔐 Access Token (from Step 2)
    • If want to also assign app access - enable that here.
  2. Click Save.

🔄 Step 4: Sync TANDA Teams

Click “Sync Tanda Teams” (top right) to import all Teams from your TANDA account.

ℹ️ Additional Information

  • This step is only for linking and mapping Teams and retrieving the TANDA user list.
  • 👤 No user records are imported yet — that happens in Step 5.

Once teams appear, map each TANDA Team to the correct Satellite Site or User Group.


🔗 Step 5: Connect TANDA Teams & Import Users

After mapping:

  1. Link each TANDA Team to a Satellite Site Membership or a User Group.
  2. Click “Sync Tanda Users” to import and merge all TANDA users into ComplianceTrackr.

⚠️ Import Conflicts & Email Notifications

If conflicts or duplicate issues occur:

  • 📧 The user performing the import receives an email outlining the errors.
  • 📩 A copy is also sent to support@sm8a.com.au for review and assistance.

❗ Important — Complete Sync Before Adding Webhooks

You must complete the Team Sync (Step 4) and User Import (Step 5) before adding any webhooks.

Adding webhooks too early may cause incomplete or incorrect user updates.


⚙️ Step 6: Add ComplianceTrackr Webhook in TANDA


Tanda link for generating the Webhook is below

In your TANDA account, create a webhook with these topics:

  • 🆕 user.created      
  • ✏️ user.updated      
  • 📴 user.deactivated      
  • 🔄 user.reactivated      
  • 🎉 user.onboarding_complete      

Include the Webhook URL and Webhook Secret Token provided by ComplianceTrackr.

The Webhook will only show after the sync has been completed.
