If you are not using automated temperature sensors, you can record temperature readings manually using:

⚙️ One-Time Setup Requirements
Before recording a manual temperature read, you must complete the following setup (this only needs to be done once).
Manual temperature reads can be assigned to either:
- 🍽️ A Food Item
- 🧊 A Piece of Equipment
🍽️ Food Item (Optional)
This is only required if you want to record the temperature against a specific food item.
🗂️ Food Category
The Food Category:
- Sets the temperature range limits
- Controls reporting options
- Ensures compliance alerts trigger correctly
Make sure the correct category is selected to ensure accurate compliance tracking.
🧊 Equipment Type
The Equipment Type:
- Identifies whether the equipment is a fridge, freezer, hot holding unit, etc.
- Automatically sets the correct temperature range limits
🏷️ Equipment Name
The Equipment Name is:
- The specific fridge, freezer, or unit you are recording against
- Where the manual temperature read will be assigned
Example:
- Kitchen Fridge 1
- Bar Freezer 2
- Cool Room A
