Some Sensors not Responding
When visiting the Sensor Dashboard page you may see the following banner appear.
This is showing which sensors have NOT sent a temperature read in the last 30 minutes.
Low Battery Warning
This banner has been updated to show sensors which have a low battery, please contact support with the sensor ID to order a replacement battery. Daniel generally has replacement sensor batteries on him and can do this while on-site, please contact him to arrange this battery replacement, due to the age of some sensors there may be a cost involved with a replacement battery.
To check a sensor please run through the following
Check Battery Level
To check battery level, this is only available on the sensor models that have an LCD screen.
- Check the top right hand corner of the LCD Panel for the Battery icon (or number 7 in the image below). If the battery only has 1 bar instead of 3. Please contact support to purchase a battery replacement. If the unit is not displaying at all battery is flat, contact support.

Check Signal Strength
To check signal strength, see the image above but look at the signal bars top right corner of LCD (or number 6 in the image). generally there should be at least 1 bar which is still ok. This generally is only an issue if the sensor is moved away from the Gateway hub, if you have any issues please contact support@sm8a.com.au
Check for Damage
If the sensor has been damaged in some way, please let your duty manager know and they will contact support@sm8a.com.au for a replacement/repair.
